I placed a baby 2 weeks ago in a very open adoption. It's so hard yet amazing. It's full of love but it hurts so much. Is there anyone going through what I'm going through?

Hi all birthmothers.  I am new to the site so I wanted to introduce myself a little and tell you my story.  I am now 30.  By the time I was 22 I had my 3 girls.  Their father wasn't a nice guy & because of him I lost my girls.  My girls were adopted over 4 years ago.  The 2 youngest to a couple in NH. They are 7 & 8.  My oldest was adopted by my sister so I get to see her often.  She is now 11.  I just got married last July & she was in the wedding.  There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of them.

This past Birthmom's day was hard for me. It's been almost 2 years since I had my son up for adoption, but I still find it hard to deal with I miss him so much. I recently gave birth to another boy that I have decided to parent and to be honest I feel guilty for giving up my first son and keeping this one. Is this normal? Why does this happen?  luckducky85@hotmail.com

I am so glad I found this site. I gave up my son for adoption in 1990. It was an open adoption but I haven't talked to him or the adoptive mother in a few years.(not my choice) I think of him everyday. It gets harder instead of easier. Would really like to chat with other birthmothers. vagirl61870@yahoo.com

I often find it hard to deal with the fact that I had to give up my 2 girls and I have my 2 boys.
My nine year old is still so upset that the adoptive parents don't let him see his sisters.
And that's what makes it harder for me.
I am looking into birthmother's day in illinois
